Statute of Limitations on Medicaid Recovery in Puerto Rico?

by Nancy

My aunt was a medicaid recipient. She died over 2 years ago. She had no surviving children or spouse. My mother is the only heirs of her small property she owned in Puerto Rico. We would like to know, is there is a statute of limitation on Estate Recovery by Medicaid in Puerto Rico? Thank you.

Did your aunt apply for Medicaid in Puerto Rico, or simply owned property there. In any case, the rules are slightly different, there, and I can’t easily put my hands on the answer. Sorry!

I just want to thank you for this site. It answered my questions. I think many people that do research on the net take it for granted and when they find what they are looking for they forget "someone put time, money, etc into providing me with this information."

Thank you!
